Shou Sugi Ban - Reclaimed Wood Frames (Mat Prints)
Individually hand-crafted and painted for your beach-feel display! The burnt wood effect is created using an ancient Japanese technique called “Shou Sugi Ban”, which directly translates to “burnt cedar board,” a method of design that provides depth and longevity, while still remaining smooth in texture. Instead of cedar, these frames are built from reclaimed wood and show distinct characteristics that are true to natural wood, giving each frame its own unique look. They are available in 2 colors and 4 sizes to go with any of your matted surf prints and original art from Heather Brown.
All frames are made using reclaimed woods, water based paints, and come complete with plexiglass and hardware, making this "Green with Aloha."
