Growing up in a family of artists and artisans in Southern California, Heather Brown found her passions in both art and nature at a very early age.  Working as a boat captain and dive master, she put herself through the Bachelors of Fine Arts program at the university of Hawaii. Inspired by the beautiful imagery of her surroundings and her studies of the "lost arts" of intaglio printmaking, silkscreening, linocuts, woodcuts and etchings, heather's iconic style was born.

Throughout Heather Brown’s career she’s been named "Best Artist In Hawaiʻi" for four consecutive years, and chosen as Rip Curl’s "Artist of the Search" for the past five years now garnering her own clothing line "Heather Brown for Rip Curl." She has created art for The Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, Jack Johnson’s Kōkua Festival, The Surfrider Foundation and many more as well as opening up Heather Brown Galleries in Tokyo, and Osaka Japan. Heather Brown is avidly involved in giving back back to her sources of inspiration in order to perpetuate the beauty in nature and people in years to come. She continues to work with numerous charities and non-profits around the world, always keeping "giving back" extremely close to her heart.

Heather Brown’s art can be seen in galleries around the world, as well as in some of the most elite private collections of fellow artists, musicians, professional athletes, Hollywood’s finest, and happy homes in every corner of the globe.

Because Heather's artwork is inspired bright tropical hues of nature, it makes perfect sense to bring the art outside and back into the sunshine. Heather Brown introduced High Tide, an apparel and accessory line in 2012 with the help of her husband "The Captain." All products feature iconic surf images that are designed to bring a piece of Hawaii with you wherever you go!
