Happy ALOHA Friday!
Towards the end of all the COVID restrictions, I was starting to feel a little bit of depression for the first time in my adult life. I couldn't do any shows and visit with all of the fans and friends around the world. At the time we were living in a high rise and we needed to use a small elevator multiple times a day, we felt almost as we were being held captive in our building. With so many friends and family using extra caution, we started to feel a bit lonely (even me, the worlds biggest introvert) To make it worse, I was dealing with surgeries and treatment for breast cancer and my husband, Chris, has been dealing with a progressive brain disease and we were at over 5 hospitals around the country in the past 3 years that was fully exhausting both physically and mentally.
Anyways, we woke up one Friday and we were talking about how our life became so sluggish. Instead of dwelling on that, we made the decision that day to push ourselves to get out of this cycle we were caught in,
The Feel Aloha, Feel Happy art was created that day! Now to be totally transparent, this wasn't the magical bullet, but it helped and any help at that time was greatly appreciated.
What I didn't think would happen, is how much it resonated with everyone. I received multipole emails each day for months with "Thank You's" etc. It felt like I wasn't alone anymore in these feelings that were so new to me.
I LOVE this art so much and I hope it resonates with you!
