As a college student at the University of Hawaii, Heather focused primarily on the "lost arts" of intaglio printmaking, silkscreen printing, linocuts, and woodcuts. Heather's artistic foundation in relief printing techniques are central to her iconic style - and these one-of-a-kind pieces capture how it all began!
Linocut prints are made by carefully carving the image out of a piece of linoleum. The raised areas of the linoleum left behind are then coated in ink with a roller (called a brayer) and impressed onto paper. The result is a unique piece of original artwork!
Each paper print in Heather Brown's Bird Print Series is approximately 4" x 6" and has been mounted on a hand signed black mat board. Ready to hang in a classic white reclaimed wood frame with an 8" x 10" window, these unique pieces are .
