Pipeline by Kaua'i tropical surf artist Heather Brown March 23 2018, 2 Comments
“Although by the calendar it’s wintertime, the water is 75° and so is the air. The temperature only changes about 2° during the year, so unless you have sensitive skin you can’t tell if it’s winter or summer in Hawaii. Hawaii is truly land of an endless summer.”
- Bruce Brown from The Endless Summer
Gallery Wall Art March 13 2018, 2 Comments
Walking into a gallery, one of the first things a visitor recognizes with/without realizing is the careful arrangement of wall art to create an appealing design. We believe wall art is so important because it allows the spectator to imagine how it might look on their own walls inside their homes or office spaces. A visually well-arranged wall could mean the difference between a piece of artwork sold or overlooked.
Beach art of Polihale Kaua'i by Heather Brown January 24 2018, 0 Comments
I hope you are having a great week so far! It is a bit rainy and cold here on the north shore of Kaua'i thus morning and the whole past week, so my mind has been wandering and it keeps bringing me to those hot and sunny summer days. One of my favorite summer beach destinations is Polihale beach on the west side of Kauai's. Miles of fluffy white sand, beautiful water with every shade of blue...

New Heather Brown Original Surf Art at The Bright Side Gallery Kaua'i, Hawai'i January 12 2018, 0 Comments
Happy ALOHA Friday!!
I just dropped off two new original surf art pieces to the Bright Side Gallery in historic Hanapepe town on Kauai's west side.
The first is a special Kaua'i piece inspired by the raw and natural beauty of Polihale Beach on Kauai's west side. This beach art piece shows the solitude of this natural area of coastline flanked on one side by the majestic Napali Coast.

Heather Brown Modern Cubist Surf Art January 07 2018, 0 Comments
Sunday Morning Nostalgia!
In the Barrel was one of the first pieces I painted after graduating UH. I waited for a couple of years before I sold it and had it scanned for print and released. This was right at the point that my cubist nature was getting a bit rounder and more detailed. I've always loved these colors together and the feeling that they invoke. There are a few of the limited edition canvas pieces left and available through the fine galleries worldwide that support my art as well as on my website.
Thanks for your interest in my art and continuing to follow the journey! Have a great day and spread the ALOHA!!

Heather Brown Art featured in Bethany Hamilton-inspired Movie Soul Surfer November 12 2017, 0 Comments
I was so stoked when I found out that my art was going to be featured in the hit movie Soul Surfer, which was inspired by the true life events circling Bethany Hamilton, a surfer girl who overcame a shark attack in 2003 and is now considered one of the best female surfers in the world. Bethany is such an inspiration among other professional surfers and the entire surf community, as well as a role model for younger women everywhere.
Beautiful Hawaiian Flower Art by Heather Brown November 06 2017, 0 Comments
Aloha! I’ve decided to start a new blog series to talk a little more about my art and what it means to me. Today I’m focusing on my flower art. One of the things I love most about Hawaii is its plentiful Hawaiian flowers. I’ve fallen in love with all of the tropical flowers that surround this island, which is why you can find them in a lot of my paintings of flowers. Heleconias, hibiscuses and plumeria art are just a few of the many I love to paint. These beautiful flowers remind me of just how effortless it is to be inspired by all of Hawaii’s natural beauty. It’s easy to fall in love and stay in love when you’re constantly surrounded by such magnificent works of art all at the hands of mother nature!

The Cats Out of The Bag! Been keeping this secret for about 18 months already! Stoked to finally announce that I was asked to create the main visual art for the 2017 Vans Triple Crown Of Surfing! I was stoked beyond belief to create the art for the 2008 Women's Triple Crown earlier in my career, so this just stopped me and my tracks to get asked again to do the Men’s event this year!
Mahalo Nui Loa Vans for asking me! I am truly honored and humbled! Aloha and Have a great day!
