Heather Brown Art featured in Bethany Hamilton-inspired Movie Soul Surfer November 12 2017, 0 Comments

I was so stoked when I found out that my art was going to be featured in the hit movie Soul Surfer, which was inspired by the true life events circling Bethany Hamilton, a surfer girl who overcame a shark attack in 2003 and is now considered one of the best female surfers in the world. Bethany is such an inspiration among other professional surfers and the entire surf community, as well as a role model for younger women everywhere.

I have also had the pleasure of donating my art to several charities and foundations that Bethany is also associated with, such as Surf Legends by musical extraordinaire Jack Johnson. Strong women surfers like Bethany, Alana Blanchard, Erica Hosseini, and Sally Fitzgibbons make a difference in our surf world, and also inspire other women surfers like champion Tyler Wright and others around the world to strive for their dreams and never lose the determination to reach their goals. I love surfing and I hope my art helps communicate my love and support of these girls!
