Aloha Heather! When I first came across your art upon visiting the North Shore during my third surfing trip to Hawaii I gasped. Because I am an Iowa native who for YEARS dreamed of the ocean and riding it and when I am away from my "home" I miss it very much. Your art is like going back to grandma's house and smelling a warm apple pie baking in the oven. Always puts a smile on my face, I feel at ease, and the hawaiian spirit instantly fills me. I picked up a print of Heather's at a local surf shop a few years back in Newport RI. It hangs in my dining room. It's amazing how many people zone in on it and admire it. It lifts our spirits during the long cold winters of New England and acts like a window into paradise for us all. I hope that Ms Brown continues to capture and share her vision of Hawaii.

My boyfriend and I are huge surfers and we visit Ocean City MD to surf very often and we just love malibu's surf shop, well one day i stumbled acorss your paintings and i just fell in love. im a little short with blonde hair and very tan while my boyfriend is extremly tall, 6'7, and skinny as a rail. All you characters that bond over surfing just paint a picture of me and my boyfriend, litterally. i have created a small wall in my room with some painting i just LOVE. My boyfriend is even going to Hawaii to visit his brother and i MADE him promise to come visit any gallaeries and get my some paintings. I just thought i'd let you know that you have big fans and your art work is just amazing. We have continued to visit Hawaii with our children and family visiting different islands and areas of each island. As I reflect on our love of Hawaii and prepare to celebrate our anniversary in a few days I can't help but fall in love all over again when looking at your paintings! You have an amazing gift. You capture the serenity and color of the islands so well. I am preparing for one of the biggest challenges of my life, back surgery. At 29 years old with two beautiful toddlers and an amazing husband we will be struggling into the New Year while I recover. I plan print a few of your gallery images to look at while I recover.
