Hey there!
I left the Islands for a job, but in my heart I long to be back in Hawaii. My sister introduced me to your work as her boyfriend bought "Surf Girl" for her for Christmas. She was thrilled. People who see it actually say it looks just like her, as she has a bright red long board. (Christy & Todd)
Nonetheless, I was on a business trip and one of the individuals in my training class had an image of your artwork on his desktop. I was thrilled. This was awesome to me. I asked him if he new the artist and he said that he didn't. So I introduced the entire class to www.heatherbrownart.com. He was very thankful, as he said he had searched and searched, but had no idea how to find the "rest of the artist's work."
All in all, though in Denver, your work speaks to my heart for the place I long to be in. You may wish to provide a screen saver application that people can download for a nominal fee...just an idea!
(or burn many and sell in local botiques, etc.)
Sincerely...
Stacy

Hi Heather, I first saw your art behind Hurricane Bob's desk, the small poster for the Pipeline Womens Pro. Bob would not part with his copy, so I think the rest of our 31st anniversary vacation was spent hitting every dive and surf shop looking for that poster! No luck, but I did get to meet Christie Shinn at Weylands, and we had a great conversation. I ended up ordering a few items from Kokua Foundation, but no posters from you:( I love your style and intend on eventually finding a place in our country home in Ohio for one of your giclees. I have a reef tank, so maybe it will go above that. I can't wait to visit your wonderful home again, take care. Jayne

Heather, saw your art work for the first time in Northshore this past week at the Wyland Galery; fell in love with "Paradise Found" and could only afford a small print that i found in one of the other shops along the highway and it was a little bigger than an 11 by 14; do you have anything approximately 24 by 40?

Just "played tourist" in North Shore today and absolutely fell in love with your work in the Wyland Gallery. Yours is the first art I've felt compelled to own. I'm currently saving for 2 or 3 of your canvases. Truly lovely and I adore the "stained glass" look and the gorgeous, vibrant colors in your work. Beautiful, I look forward to following your future work.

I watched you painting this past weekend and I saw the happiness the art brings out in you and it is evident in your beautiful colorful and cheerful paintings. It draws me back to Oahu, where I lived as a young child in the early 60's.

Hi Heather!
We were honeymooning im Maui when we saw your art work, over at the "Surf Art Gallery" Jesse might have mentioned us (Duran Duran). We have always wanted to start an art collection, but nothing ever really stood out. But as we were on our honeymoon, we wanted something to remember our first trip to Maui and our honeymoon. Your "Pipeline" piece was irrisistable! We visited it FOUR different times during our 2 week trip. Thats when we decided that we needed to go back and buy it! Were so excited to have such a beutiful piece to start our collection as a newly married couple! Thanks so much!

Saw your work at a gallery in Honolulu...almost purchased an original. Sounded like a drag for the ride back to Canada.....so regret it now!
Will purchase something on our website. Unless there is a show close by to Vancouver, BC soon??
Some of the flora on your works remind me of Henri Rousseau's nature depiction.
Keep making wonderful stuff!

I just saw an add in free surf magazine and had to go to the site. I entered in the drawing and am going to buy stuff. I love the colors, love the Kokua artwork, love your interpretation of leaves and waves and how bright and vibrant they are in Hawaii. I spent 5 weeks there last year and went from Waikiki, Honolulu, Ko Olina, All over North Shore, and then a week in Maui and you really have to be there and appreciate the spirit of Aloha and to see it in action. Its like every living and nonliving thing understands that its a part of one of the most beautiful places on earth and intend on keeping it that way. Heather you are an amazing artist and I look forward to seeing your stuff everywhere I turn. Keep on Keepin' on... You have an amazing and unique style and I hope you appreciate the beauty of your life.

I, first and foremost want to say, that I absolutely adore your art. The simplicity and beauty of it is just something so different and unique than anything I've seen. It's amazing to be able to identify with an artisit like you over things like an absolute love and adoration for Hawaii and art alike. I can imagine that nothing but rad things will come to you in the future. You're an inspirtation to me, and Heather Brown is definitely not a name I will soon forget.

Heather,
You are an inspiration to both a beginner surfer(starting in my late 30's) and an artist who's afraid to let loose. Your interview in Hawaii mode has reminded me to "stick" with it! Surfing is alot like art.,like life, keep trying.. there WILL be another wave... . let go.. let it flow. Thanks

Hi Heather! I first got a glimse of your art in surfer magazine in 2007, the art issue. I immediately fell in love with your bright youthful work. I have a sister in law that lives in Honolulu and we visit her yearly. We always make a stop into the Wyland gallery in Haleiwa to admire your art. I am happy to see your work is becoming more popular. My favorites of your work always includes the surf meets foliage but i am enjoying seeing you expand to more animals ecspecially the hawaiian green sea turtles. When I look at your paintings it always seems to take me to such a happy place. I look forward to seeing your work in the future and glad to see you expanding your art beyond painting. Sending you lots of love to your smiling heart!

Aloha from Maui, Heather...
Mahalo for putting my days of sitting on the beach on the North Shore on canvas. That is 'me' sitting there watching the waves under the almond trees in 1973!
You have put my memories in the artform and I love your style. Hope to have one of your originals one day!
